Given that we just celebrated another Memorial Day, our Lulu & Bass wedding hair and makeup stylists wanted to give a shout out to our favorite freedom-inspired bridal styles. It takes a true American bride to want to honor those fallen and fighting for our country on her wedding day…and we want to honor her for doing so! Whether she knew/knows someone fighting for our country or just plain old loves the US of A, these following brides made a huge statement repping red, white, and blue on their special day. Check out the following bridal styles and see how they incorporated the flag and its colors on their wedding day.
What’s easier than having you and all of your girls wave a mini-flag when trying to add some American pride? This bride definitely got it right. This candid photo of a carefree, country-loving bride is just beautiful. To tie the colors into her bridal party style, she had her bridesmaids wear blush pink bridesmaid’s dresses. With her in white and them in blush, those American flags really pop! To go along with this carefree and easy going wedding style, this bride chose a simple pulled back, half-up wedding hairstyle and a natural wedding makeup look. A flattering a-line wedding dress completes this Memorial Day-approved wedding look.
We are loving how snuggled this newly married couple looks tucked into the American flag. We are also loving how the groom opted for a royal/navy blue suit and the bride stuck with an all-white ensemble to match perfectly with the patriotic wedding style they were going for. This bridal style is breathtaking as well. Her tousled low chignon appears effortless and (dare I say) easy but it was definitely all but that. Each piece of hair looks intricately placed and topped off with a lovely voluminous veil. Finish off this look with some statement earrings and you are good to go!
Last but not least, we cannot get over this patriotic flower crown that this bride has chosen to sit atop her wedding hairstyle. It plays off the colors in the vibrant flag wrapped around her (similar to the previous photo) so well without being overbearing. She also played with a bright lip color in her wedding makeup, which we are giving a big thumbs up to. The whispy curls framing her face perfect this final Memorial Day inspired bridal look.
It is so special that these few brides chose to incorporate the flag and its colors on their big wedding day. This day only happens once (and therefore needs to be perfect) so referencing our country, our freedom, and the brave men and women who gave it to us really means a lot. If you or any of your friends or family members have served or are currently serving our country, the Lulu & Bass team wants to thank you and them for your past and continued service to allow us to live in a safe and happy country. Happy Memorial Day!
