Hairstyles for the Teenage Bridesmaid

So you have a sweet niece or little sister that wants to be in your wedding? Of course, you’ve already offered her the super awesome job of monitoring the Guest Sign-In table (which she readily declined) and came to an understanding that no, she does not want to be a flower girl with the younger girls. This only leaves you one choice: up at the altar with you and your bride tribe…and boy is she thrilled!

Next decision to be made is her wedding hairstyle. It is a little rough because she is at that in-between age—not quite young enough for flowers and a headband to suffice as a wedding hairstyle but not mature enough to wear a fancy wedding updo or voluminous wedding curls like you and your girls. Fear not, dear bride, for we have you covered. Here are a few teenage appropriate wedding hairstyles that will have your little lady saying “I Do” too! (Hint hint: braids will definitely be included!)

We love the innocent look of braided hairstyles for teens (and tweens). This first one is a spinoff of a bridal half-updo. It pulls those pesky flyaways out of her face and adds some special detail that’s not too over the top. It is also pretty simple and quick so she won’t have to be sitting still for too long while getting ready!

Following the pulled-back braided teen, wedding hairstyle is one that is a bit more edgy for a spunkier teen bridesmaid. It starts out with the same concept—two braids that come together in the back—but this look ends in a cute top knot, which can either be classic and tamed or tousled to give it some texture. We love how in this example the braids come together to create a braided bun…braids + more braids = braid heaven. Once again, this teenage wedding hairstyle is both trendy and age-appropriate so your teen bridesmaid can stay youthful and beautiful.

Last but not least our Lulu & Bass wedding hairstylists chose an elegant low chignon look as an option for your teenage bridesmaid. This look is an especially good choice if your wedding style is going to be more formal rather than laid back and casual. It’s also very fun to accessorize! She can wear a sort of headband or crown, bun pin, or accessorize with flowers! (*cough* flower crown *cough*) Don’t think we forgot…another variation would be to do a braided crown that comes together in the back with a type of bun. We told you braids would be included!

There ya have it. These are a few of our favorite braided teenage wedding hairstyles! We just love how they come across as equally trendy and youthful, which makes them perfect for a teen bridesmaid. Even though these wedding hairstyles seem simple and easy, it makes them feel so special to be included so go ahead bride and make her day by showing her these adorable options!
